**Water-Based Bitumen Waterproofing Coating (Roofs & Below-Grade)** **What it is** A waterborne, polymer-modified bitumen waterproofing coating that cures into an elastic, seamless membrane with strong crack-bridging capability.
**Good for** Concrete roofs and many below-grade areas such as retaining walls, basements and foundations—especially where shapes/details make sheet materials harder to handle.

**Type / chemistry** Water-based emulsified asphalt (polymer-modified bitumen) coating; forms an elastic seamless membrane with low vapour permeability. **Typical uses** Concrete roofs; below-grade structures (retaining walls, basements, foundations/columns). Suitable for repairs, irregular shapes and detailing; compatible for composite system build-ups (per TDS). **Key performance (selected)** - Depth of water penetration (DIN 1048 Pt 5): 0 mm - Water vapour transmission rate (ASTM E96): < 1 g/(h·m²) - Solid content: > 60% - Crack bridging (3.2 mm): No crack - Pull-off strength (ASTM D4541 Method A): ≥ 1.0 MPa - Tensile strength (ASTM D412): > 0.50 N/mm² - Elongation at break: > 1000% - Typical drying time (23°C): ~4 h; overcoating: ~2 h (guidance) - Heat resistance: ~110°C; Watertightness (EN 15814): Pass - Packaging: 20 kg pail; colour: chocolate brown **Application parameters (selected)** - Guide consumption: ~2.0–2.2 kg/m² for ~1 mm DFT - Apply in multiple thin coats; full dry per coat typically 2–12 hours depending on temperature/humidity - Recommended application temperature: 5°C to 35°C - Once opened: use same day (per TDS guidance) **Limitations / notes** - Do not dilute with water/solvents. - Avoid trafficking before fully dry; subsequent layers/steps only after full cure of prior coat. - Avoid long-term exposure in humid/poorly ventilated environments. - Do not apply in rain/snow or if adverse weather is predicted soon (per TDS).
